Meet The Team

Maria F. Chapman

CEO and Owner

Maria F. Chapman is a writer, editor, coach, and the founder of Connected Ghostwriting, LLC. Maria’s mission is to help entrepreneurs craft compelling content that expands their reach and scales their businesses. Her expertise spans a variety of important topics including sexual health, mental health, chronic illness, parenting, relationships, and education. Maria is not only a guide for those looking to articulate their ideas through words but also a coach for aspiring thought leaders dreaming of turning their passion into a livelihood.

From a young age, Maria was destined to intertwine her life with words. The journey began at a white desk, custom-built by her father in the corner of her pink childhood bedroom, where she first scribbled her imaginative lines on lined paper. Despite initially stepping away from her dream of writing during her college years—when external approval guided her more than internal conviction—Maria’s narrative took a significant turn following a 13-year career in elementary education, focusing on literacy and instructional coaching.

The sudden onset of neuromuscular conditions, myasthenia gravis, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy caused her to reassess her priorities, and create a new career. Opting out of a third Master’s program destined for educational administration, Maria embraced a new understanding: quitting isn’t failing; it’s merely choosing a different path. This experience reshaped her life, allowing her to focus on what truly matters—her values.

Maria created a life that not only fulfills her but also energizes her. No longer paralyzed, Maria focuses on building a life that allows her to give more to her family—her husband and five children—and her community. Living in Middlefield, Connecticut, she balances her professional endeavors with vibrant outdoor activities, from hiking and skiing to spending relaxing days at the beach. Maria’s passion also extends to disability advocacy, a cause close to her heart given her own experiences.

Today, Maria is dedicated to helping others find their voice and craft their stories. Whether it’s developing thought leadership through captivating website content, writing a book, or simply mastering the art of making a living from a favorite coffee shop, Maria provides guidance and strategies to ensure her clients achieve their dreams. She also speaks about thought leadership and how the right content can transform your business. Her approach is not just about achieving success—it’s about creating a life that aligns with one’s deepest values and aspirations.

Maria’s written work, recognized by a prestigious Author Fellowship from the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing in the summer of 2021, continues to inspire and connect, fulfilling her belief that words help us find connection.

When trying to pick a name for her agency, Maria wanted a word that held her belief about the power of language.
